TEAMWEAR SIZE & ORDER PLANNING
Custom Fightwear Size & Quantity Planning Guide
Prepare separate Rash Guard and shorts size allocations, distinguish body and garment measurements, and plan adult or youth academy orders with a worked quantity example.

What buyers need to know
Plan custom fightwear quantities from a confirmed member or customer list, not a universal size ratio. Record Rash Guard and shorts sizes separately, distinguish body measurements from finished-garment measurements, and check the selected pattern on a fit sample. Adult and youth fits need separate review. Any spare stock is an explicit purchasing decision, not an assumed allowance.
SPECIFICATION SNAPSHOT
Prepare the size information before ordering
Use this table as a starting point. Final product details are confirmed against the selected style and approved sample.
| Body measurements | Measurements taken on the wearer; identify the measuring points and units |
|---|---|
| Garment measurements | Measurements taken on the selected garment laid flat, without stretching unless the method says otherwise |
| Rash Guard size list | Quantity per approved top size and sleeve direction |
| Shorts size list | Quantity per approved shorts size, cut and liner direction |
| Youth requirements | Separate fit review and approved measurement chart; do not simply scale adult sizes |
| Order approval | Confirm the chart version, quantities, units and permitted measurement tolerances with TONTON |
BUYER DECISION TABLE
Match the specification to the intended use
| Option | Best suited to | Confirm before approval |
|---|---|---|
| Known academy members | A named roster with an agreed fit reference | Collect top and shorts size independently; reconcile the order totals |
| Retail collection | An independent brand allocating stock by style and size | Use your own sales or preorder evidence; no standard size ratio is assumed |
| Adult and youth program | A club serving more than one fit group | Keep patterns, size lists and sample approvals separate |
ORDER PLANNING
Worked example: 24 members, two separate size lists
Illustration only: these are invented order quantities for explaining the arithmetic, not a recommended size ratio or a TONTON size chart. Assume one Rash Guard and one pair of shorts per member, using size labels already confirmed for this example.
| Illustrative size label | Rash Guards | Shorts |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 2 | 1 |
| S | 5 | 4 |
| M | 8 | 9 |
| L | 6 | 7 |
| XL | 3 | 3 |
| Total garment units | 24 | 24 |
The order contains 24 coordinated sets and 48 garment units. Top and shorts allocations differ because the same person may wear different sizes. List spares, extra tops, colorways or sleeve variants separately; confirm how MOQ applies to each actual order configuration.
Use one measuring method and one unit system
For body measurements, follow the measuring points requested for the selected pattern, with the tape level and without pulling it tight. Record the intended close or relaxed fit alongside the measurements. For a reference garment, lay it flat and identify exactly where each width or length is measured.
Ask for the measurement chart and method for the actual style before converting member measurements into order sizes. Confirm whether a waist value is relaxed, stretched, flat width or circumference. Keep centimeters and inches clearly labeled and agree the tolerance before sample approval.
Check the complete kit during movement
- Try the selected Rash Guard and shorts together on the intended wearer.
- Review reaching, rotation, sitting and squatting; check opacity and seam comfort under the intended fit.
- Check the Rash Guard hem, shorts waistband and liner together for unwanted overlap or pressure.
- Record the sample size and chart version, and resolve fit changes before collecting the final size allocation.
Reconcile the roster before the order is approved
Use one row per wearer or one consolidated size list, then total each garment separately. Check sleeve variants, adult or youth groups, colors and any names or numbers against the approved artwork list. Remove duplicate member entries and keep personal details out of files that do not need them.
Mark the quantities as confirmed or still being collected. If you choose spare stock, state its sizes and quantity explicitly. TONTON reviews the applicable minimums and development requirements against the complete brief.
Keep a clear record for new members and reorders
Retain the approved measurement chart, fit sample, style reference and artwork version. A reorder should specify what stays the same and which quantities or sizes change. Confirm material availability, color references, MOQ and schedule again rather than assuming an earlier order automatically sets the new terms.
WHEN NOT TO USE THIS DIRECTION
Limits buyers should confirm
- This guide is not a garment measurement chart or a recommendation to order fixed percentages in each size.
- A body chest circumference cannot be compared directly with a flat garment chest width. Even doubling a flat width does not determine the correct compression fit.
- One brand’s M, L or XL does not establish the equivalent size in a different pattern.
BUYER FAQ
Questions to confirm before approval
Should Rash Guards and shorts use the same size allocation?
Not automatically. Collect the top and shorts sizes separately because fit preferences and body proportions can differ. If you are ordering one set per member, both garment totals should match the member count, even when the size distribution differs.
Can I use another brand’s size chart?
Use it as a clearly identified reference only. Confirm the actual TONTON pattern, measuring method and sample fit before selecting order sizes; size labels are not universal.
Does this guide provide a TONTON size chart?
No. It explains measurement and quantity planning. Request the approved chart for the selected style, adult or youth fit and sample version before committing to dimensions or sizes.
How many garments are in an order for 24 matching sets?
If every set contains one Rash Guard and one pair of shorts, 24 sets contain 24 Rash Guards plus 24 pairs of shorts: 48 garment units. Extra garments and spares are counted separately.
